For one thing,we're fighting the terrorists overseas,rather than here,we've liberated the Iraqi's and the Afghanistans,caused Libya to stop it's wmd program and we're in position to fight Iran and Syria,which are the roots of terrorism and a direct threat to our ally,Israel.

As for how someone could oppress us,that's easy,just take half of America and convince them to give up without a fight..which is what the dims have done and will continue to do..as they're only invested in defeat.
