I've seen not so smart people drive all the way to the Hydro store and spend money to try resolve splashing issues when they could of gone to their kitchen for a fraction of the cost/time
I used some left over mylar and made covers like you would put under your christmas tree, I did this to stop the splash and reflect more light.

I have a baby started in one 1" rockwool cube (just sprouted) if I put it dead center in hydroton, how is it going to receive the water/nutes if the drip ring is only emitting water on the edges.
