I never said to completely forget about the great bands of all time, but it's like most of you guys completely turn a different cheek to the great bands of today. I have nothing but good things to say about a lot of the classic rock, because as you said, music wouldn't be where it is today without them.

But I also find it silly to be completely absorbed by a band that stopped touring 25 years ago. I'd think you'd want to be in love with a current band that actually is touring, so you can do more than sit at home listening to records as old as my mother. Like I said, sure it's fine to love bands of the past, but when you're living in the past, you miss what's going on right now. And clearly a lot of you really are missing it. Keep an open mind and an open heart rather than turning a blind eye is all I ask. Trust me, there ARE better things out there than a LARGE amount of the classic stuff. Then again, to each his own I suppose..

This quote (funny enough a slogan from the greatest football team Arsenal) sums everything up perfectly:

"Remember the past, but look to the future."
