    **Ignorance at its finest**

If anything, for the most part, there are bands today that technically blow away these classic rock bands. Take a listen to guys like Derek Trucks or Jake Cinninger and then TRY and tell me they don't have some of the best stuff you've ever heard.

For me, Led Zeppelin always had a profound effect on me. It's just something about the sound, the guitar, and the vocals that speaks to me more than any other. The Doors are up there too though for sure though, but mostly because Jim is so damn intriguing.

I will say that I was never a fan of Pink Floyd. It just always came off as far too abstract and random. It does help me drift off to sleep though lol.

    Classic Rock?

i like a lot of them, but dont like this idea that modern rock doesnt compare to it. yes, nickelback doesnt compare to led zep. dig a little deeper than the radio.....
timeless music was made then, timeless music is being made now.

on classic rock i do love it, and i think writing off good rock being made today is a slap in the face of the influences.
cream is my fav i think, but i love a lot of em
