Another absolutely disgusting example of pre-emptive dhimmitude, in the name of tolerance and multiculturalism, right here in the US: First Jell-O, now Santa.

So long, Halloween parade. Farewell, Santaâ??s gift shop.

The holiday traditions are facing elimination in some Oak Lawn schools this year after complaints that the activities are offensive, particularly to Muslim students.

Final decisions on which of the festivities will be axed will fall to the principals at each of Ridgeland School District 122â??s five schools, Supt. Tom Smyth said.

Parents expect that the announcement is going to add to the tension that has been building since officials agreed earlier this month to change the lunch menu to exclude items containing pork to accommodate Muslim students. News that Jell-O was struck from the menu caused such a stir that officials have agreed to bring it back. Gelatin is often made with tissue or bones of pigs or other animals.

That controversy now appears to have been been dwarfed by the holiday debate, which became so acrimonious Wednesday that police were called to Columbus Manor School to intervene in a shouting match among parents.

â??Itâ??s difficult when you change the schoolâ??s culture,â?� said Columbus Manor Principal Sandy Robertson.

Howdy Y'all,

So..today is the day when the gays in San Francisco will hold the Folsom Street Fair,where they will endeavor to be as offensive to Christianity as possible-while at the same time-giving Islam a free pass,and even though Christians ain't killing gays-but muslims are..they'll still continue to attack Christians in this country,who do have the right to religious freedom and belief..and continue to discriminate against Christians and exacerbate such to an even worse degree.

Now we see yet another example of hypocracy,as the Illinois school system has determined that muslims do have a right to not be offended. I claim no such right-yet the pro-muslim liberals have awarded the muslims such a right.

So much for a shining example of democracy at work..this is nothing but bald-faced dhimmitude.

Torog can you link your story? No where on google news search can I find anything relating to this. If it was true Fox, CNN would be all over this. Are we talking about just no decorations? Or are they eliminating the vacation time for the kids?

If this is the article you are referring too why did you not post it in full as you are missing some key counter points in it. They are not being eliminated. And if half of the school is Arab then it does sound like nothing more then actual democracy at work.

Howdy, Torog! It's the same story, over again. We can't wipe away a family with different values, who lives across the street, but, the government tries to wipe away families in the Rosales Order.

And, my girlfriend told me that they wanted to start doing that (no Christmas and Thanksgiving) in Wisconsin.

That was then-this is now..Christianity has reformed itself to be non-violent..accepting Jesus Christ as yer Lord and Saviour,is purely voluntary..whereas the koran demands that all non-muslim goverments be dissolved and all non-muslims be murdered or subjugated and paying a jizyra tax,so that they will be suffered to live,but under Islam's terms.

Is it any wonder,that that muslims ain't doing attacks here like they are in the ME ? The answer is obvious,there are many dhimmini's here,ripe for the taking and with pockets full of money.

I would like to know what doesn't offend anyone anymore? I remember going to school and I never heard any Jehovah witnesses ever making any uproars about any holidays. People just like to bitch about anything they can possibly find!!

I'm offended by all religion. Theres not a single one that doesn't preach hatred and intolerance to others outside of there little cliche. Society might actually have a chance to move forward if we could just remove all religion from our governments. Its certainlt never going to change as long as we allow religious people to have a say in how our governments are run.
