Hello all. I am only 22 years old, but have been an avid smoker for 6 years. First 3 - 4 years, was hardcore blunt smoking, and it progressed upwards of 8 blunts a day. Then, after high school, i got a few bowls, and tried getting into the habit of bowl smoking, to consume my marijuana, and by that time i caught onto the hype of how you get much more THC smoking out of a bowl then a blunt. Anyway, that didn't last long, i was back into blunts again, and now, to this day, i usually smoke upwards of 20 - 30 blunts a week, as well as many many bowl hits. I was born with asthma, its not hardcore, but i certainly cant handle as much smoke as a normal person, but i get by. Even though i dont smoke cigs, I cant even inhail a cig to this day without coughing. Anyway enough with the babbiling. Lately, ive noticed my lungs taking a ware from i assume all the smoking over the years. I cough alot, cant really take as much smoke as i use to, but marijuana is a daily part of my life, i do not want to give it up for this reason, but at the same time, the harsh smoking has to stop. Ive tried cooking with it, brownies, cookies. etc.. but as much as i enjoy it, its just not the same. I like to be able to take small ammounts of marijuana, bowls worth. And smoke it to get the quick, and effective high.

So i've always considered vaporizers, but have never smoked out of one myself, nor have i ever seen one. I cruise the net looking every now and then, i see some ranging from $70 to $600. And of course they recommend all of them, they;re selling them So i want to ask you guys, the smoking community! Id assume the Volcano is the best, hence it's high price, and all around praise. And honestly, since i dont plan on stopping anytime soon, the volcano may be the buy for me.

Basicly, im asking for your feedback, recommendations, reviews, whatever you can dish out. I dont really even know how vaporizers work, but all i've heard is clear, smooth, cough-free hits, and Id love to achive that soon

Other then that, a few basic questions if anyone out there has the time to answer.

1.) Just as smoking out of bowls is getting more THC from your marijuana then Blunts. Does smoking out of a vaporizer get much more THC out of it then a Bowl would? in that same sense.

2.) What would be the smallest ammount of marijuana to use in 1 "hit" i guess you can say. With the volcano, i see its a bag, so how much would fill 1 bag, and would 1 bag do it? Would you hit it all as basicly 1 hit, on puff on it like you would a bowl, getting several hits out of it?

3.) So i hear with the volcano theres left over marijuana when your done? I assume this is just the buds with the THC extracted out of it right? So is it worthless and to be thrown away, or saved for a rainy day? I hear stories of people cooking with it, that'd be nice

4.) Is this recommended for High Quality marijuana only? Between connections and money situations, i can usually only find/afford mid grade. But, this is normally because of the tools i use to smoke, Kind bud usually goes to quickly, because i dont have an efficent way to smoke it. Hopefully the vaporizer can help me conserve KB a little better. But either way, id assume normal/mid grade would do the trick as well? Would you still achive the same "smoothness" they describe? Im sure they're describing how it smokes with the best of the best bud, which i don't have. So im curious how well vaporizers work, for the average joe's everyday connection, an average bud.
