Yeah I guess if you like cake your b-day can be cool. It's always gross retail cake for me, at least that's how it was before I stopped having b-day cake.

I know it sounds pessimistic to say that acknowledging one's mortal anniversary is just putting another tick mark on the wall towards death, but I see myself as so optimistic about my lifespan that I prefer an outright lack of a temporal calender, and look at life as a series of timeless moments, which seems to elongate my life as I perceive it. For me, holidays and bdays are empty, perfunctory coercions meant to extricate people from their otherwise bland lives. I prefer to enrich every day to the point where I have no perception of a good or a bad day, and look forward to nothing except the blissful present. :smokin:

However I do enjoy my birth month, January, not because of bday intersection but because I like winter
