first time grow
First time I tried to grow a plant: Planted a seed I got from Jamaica (Gunja) back in mid may. I grew it outside till mid August. I then started growing it inside with the 12 day cycle / 12 hr night cycle. It started budding after a week and has been budding ever since. Looking under a 20x microscope, I see that the pistils and leaves are covered with the cloudy residue. see attached photos: ( I will try to get better photos)
Can you help me out with the following:
1. when Can I start cutting off the buds?
2. do I have to cut the entire plant or can I just cut the buds as I need them?
any help would be greatly appreciated....thanksdmd2060 Reviewed by dmd2060 on . first time grow First time I tried to grow a plant: Planted a seed I got from Jamaica (Gunja) back in mid may. How long have they been flowering? Looks like you might have a ways to go...

yeh they do have atleast 4 weeks left. You can take it as you need it if the tops are mature and the bottoms aren't otherwise just cut the whole thing

Very rarely will an entire plant be ready for harvest all at once (unless it has been seriously FIMed, LSTed, trained, and grown specifically for an even and all in one harvest). Cut each bud individually when it is correctly timed for harvest. This is not the same thing as to say "cut the buds when you run out of something to smoke." The latter will just screw up your harvesting time and potency, leaving you with poor bud. Check the trichomes with your magnifier, and when each bud is appropriately colored for harvest, cut it, dry it, cure it, and then store it for future use
. Happy harvesting!
PS - I would say from the time those images were captured you have 3-4 weeks before your main harvest window opens up. At that point, you may have some buds ready to be taken off. The coloring is just a little too light for me to comfortably say anything sooner than 3 weeks.
