I don't this it's impossible to get high from smoking stalks, but it wouldn't be nice and is silly imo, they don't contain much value.
Make hotchocolate, green dragon, cannabutter, methods of consumption that will give you only the good bit. http://boards.cannabis.com/recipes/

Or vaporize. If you don't vaporize, find someone who does and give them the stems - they'll love you for it if they have any sense, and maybe you can get a favour out of them.
