Northen Lights, an somewhat anonymous inquisition.

Hello, I have done my best research the important basics and advanced methods of growing marijuana, both from the faqs on here and from viewing experienced/inexperienced growing guides to complete my hypothesis as much as possible on the variables of growing such a green plant.

Northern Lights, does this specific plant have very specific requirements from the rest of it's green family? (more light, Co2, nutrients, love and such?)

This will be the first time I have ever attempted to grow anything besides sweet basil, and I want to do my best to make the plant 'happy' as possible. My great grandma taught me about distrubiting the love properly amongst my plants, but I need further guiding, or at least as much as possible.

The growing will be done in my own place, so only I can suffer for my actions and not my family or friends. :hippy:

All plants, from Northern Lights to fig trees, are all products of their environment. Meaning, if conditions are favorable where the plants are growing, then you can expect healthy, vibrant foliage and a content plant. Of course, you're not planting a fig tree, and you'll pretty much be playing the part of "nature" for your NL. You need to try and keep growing conditions optimal for your variety, but also a gardeners thumb comes in handy here to help understand the needs of your plant when they arise.

Know beforehand what nutrient deficiencies look like in cannabis, and plan to tackle the issues before major symptoms come to light. CO2 is always welcome to your plants, but it's best to use in moderation, until you know how well your variety will react to large doses. Light is generally left up to nature to decide what's best. And since you're playing the part of Mother Nature, you get to decide how you want to manipulate the growth of your babies. Some growers prefer to use constant light in the vegetation stage, while many others won't go above an 18/6 photoperiod. You'll get a few answers from growers who have successfully harvested your exact crop, but you'll find that there will likely be several variables that contributed to the growers outcome. Trial and error is how many experienced growers eventually find the best possible solutions for their plants.

But, of course, as questions arise...feel free to ask them. You'll find a wealth of opinions from like-minded folks who only want you to produce the best medicine that's humanly possible.

    Good luck to ya! :rastasmoke:
