Man... even if the theory is somewhat mixed with wrong/crazy things, many from what he said is very true, and in fact there is already theories much alike his own.
For example, the thing that booze makes people behave like children its explained in a text form Timothy Leary (one of the fathers of the 60's psychedelic movement), who describes our brain as composed of 8 mini-brains, each one with different functions and each one activated by different substances.
The text can be read at: Leary's Eight Circuite Model of Consciousness

What he says about the reality of the psychedelic experiences can be read at the Carlos Castaneda's book The Teachings of Don Juan, where don juan, a shaman yaqui indian, teached castaneda how to use hallucinogenic plants to do "sobrenatural" thungs, like divinate, pass through things, fly, and even see the world as a crow does. I strongly recommend this book for anyone interested in the relationship between phychedelics and reality.

So... now you can to see from where all your friends insightful ideas may had come from... or then understand them better, and maybe become like him... who knows? I did, long ago... so, be warned! :stoned::hippy::rastasmoke:
