    Ok this is freaky..

    That is a really cool article. However, they said that it is impossible for that to happen in the wild so they haven't really evolved like that, and probably never will, so they don't do it for predators.

    They just took a recessive, pale skin gene and multiplied it many times to make sure that that gene would be the abundant one when it came time to deciding skin color; in this case, it decided to be transparent.

    I think that's exciting as hell, "Sumida said researchers could also inject into the transparent frogs an illuminating protein attached to a gene, which would light up the gene once it manifests -- for example, showing at what stage cancer starts." Can you believe that??

    I mean, it can't be done on mammals, right now, because our skin is different, it said, but imagine in a few hundred years, if we're even still on this planet (ie, we're all gonna die in 2012)
