Oh yeah, how many ounces of butane do you use on your runs? I use 12oz and my tube holds maybe 2-3oz. After 12oz the dripping butane is completely clear. I was just wondering if I could get a better yeild if I ran some more butane through.
Hi, i don't think the brand matters much. Mine is very stiff too, but i try to get it as together as i can before the butane has completely gone [ all liquid gone but still residue and bubbles, like pic 1 ]. Any left on the container goes solid when dry so i have to heat it and rub it off with buds as i smoke it. Some use solvents to help collect it.

My tube is 2 ft long and 2 inch wide, and i use 3x200ml tins for 1.5 - 2oz dry dusted weed. 90% of oil will come out with the first 2 tins.
I use only 2x200ml tins for 1oz or less.

If you are running the gas till clear then i'm fairly certain you have maximum yield. Its very efficient

    Honey Oil

Beforeyourtime you inspired me to make a couple batches of it. I don't have a camera and if I did I probaly wouldn't know how to load it on the computer so sorry no pics. Mine wasn't quite as golden as yours but it is from shade leaves not good trim.

It is amazing you can extract oil from leaves that you wouldn't even think about making bubble with and still get a nice yeild of a pure thc product. Even leaves pulled off during the plants life cycle will still produce good oil as well, its fuckin amazing. The only problem I have is I have bought all the grocery stores around me out of butane, plus buying all that butane gets kinda expensive.

Man! Thats a beautiful-looking honey oil! I wonder how awesome is the high from it! :stoned:
Just a note... adding some water to the dish where the oil is helps to scrape it from the dish... it seems the water make the oil less sticky... and also helps you to scrape it completly, without any leftovers in the dish... and considering the potency of honey/hash oil, even a thin layer of oil in the dish is a waste indeed...
I never tried extracting oil with butane. I always use acetone, which seems easier to handle than butane... my hash oil is not honey-looking like yours, but darker... maybe my weed (mids) is not so good... anyway, the high is very enjoyable. :stoned:

Well... i dont know about his honey oil, but my hash oil is BITTER... even when i mix it with chocolate, its taste still can be felt very distinctly... so... i dont know if its a good idea... unless, of course, you like the bitter taste... :wtf:

    PS. 1111 th post!
