ATTENTION ALL 420's Hair Exam is hard to pass now

Hello kool peeps of the new generation,

1st and foremost i hope one day as we all get older, one of you guys or girls gets into public office and change some rules in reference to this "hobby".. but here is some heads up on hair follicle exams.

1) forget that 90 day standard period. companies are requesting History exams, yes longer than 90 days.

2) Hair Follicle exams are becoming more affordable as one used to think they were expensive.. think again.

3) hair follicle exams CAN go back 3 years.. yes 3 years and never think they'll just go back 90 days cause they dont.

4) there are 2 primary labs that perform these test, and the one i went thru is considered state-of-the-art..i havent smoked anything within the past few months(drank water, sweated, ate healthy, etc) cut my hair ( due to the job interview) and was only assuming i was gonna get a urine test..low and behold they had set me up with a hair follicle exam ( i felt it was probally over racial profiling ).. i had just 24 hrs to take the exam..since its hard there's nothing you can do to cover up body hair not even using the shampoo's especially if your exam is going to the psychomedics lab..(the #1 of the 2 labs) in the nation.. the lab techs there called me today and said although they could see i havent been exposed to marijuana in the past couple of months.. test showed positive exposure 7 months ago....7 months!!.. i didnt get the job but this is a well lesson learned.. from this point on beware the hair exam..its an invasion of privacy i feel if a company wants to hold you at fault for something you might have done months even years ago..

Hey man what are you if you don't mind me asking. Ethnically of course above all your a human being. I agree with you the hair follicle test is an extreme set up to weed...out all of those who they do not see fit regardless of personal reform. Herumph what a world we live in where people are damn near persecuted for their "Hobbies"if you will

I don't know what is up here but something isn't right. If everything you are saying is correct the first thing is why did they go back more than 90 days or 1 & 1/2 inches of hair. Guidelines in hair testing set up by the FDA and SAMSHA have set the accepted length of hair tested to be 1 & 1/2 inches because it becomes inaccurate after this length. Why did they give you a "timeline" of use because that is odd too.

Yes if you think hair testing is expensive it is about $60-$90 a test now.

There are ways to beat the hair test, they aren't 100% but you can improve your chances of passing.

im a clean cut african-american,
i think i inherited bob marley's gene's or something.. i told them i had drank a protein shake that contained hemp seed ( which i actually did) and now haved filed a complaint with the FDA regarding this Hemp protein shake thats being sold in whole foods stores without no warning to constumers..

btw.. hemp protein shakes have NO high, NO rush, No drug like effects.. its for weight gain..yet the CMO did not understand ... i even had my therapist confirm this.

im well educated, not some criminal , not even a drug-dealer..yet this crap is still in my system

i felt the same way about this also as yet i read up on the standards.. yet this is exactly what they did and told me. no lie. im really pissed about it.. 7 months ago!... and thats exactly what they had told me "although we can tell you havent been exposed/smoked any marijuana in the past couple/few months we did however confirm positive use 7 months ago"... they took armpit samples and the lady filled up the "silver-lining wrapper" which the sample was collected..

So are you telling me your armpit hair was over 3.5 inches long? You know hair always isn't in an active growing state, more on this based on your answer about how long your armpit hair is.

That protein shake is going to have 0% THC content in it I bet or else it would be illegal to sell it.

thing about the protein shake. i had the same problem with it 1 yr ago taking a UA my results came out to 27 nanograms ( 15 is the cutoff).. i debated this and they sent me back for another test ( quest was the 1st site i went to) the 2nd lab was a different site which resulted in me passing the UA.. now psychomedics are saying i did something 7 months ago..well above the 90 standard.. she cut a few strands from both sides (left & right) and as i said.. filled up the whole "sample container" i also heard some guy getting shaved in the other room cause he had shaved his head..

so 1 sample container filled up completely with body hair....7 months... not 90 days 7 months.. im totally baffled

Well the collector is supposed to put the hair in the foil with the root end marked so that once it gets to the lab, it is cut down to 1 & 1/2 inches if longer than that. They aren't supposed to perform the test with just a big ball o hair that way they are testing the first 90 days.

Other than the protein shake do you use marijuana?

well that she did she took several "clumps" of hair ( my longest strands from my armpits) and sealed it right up.. hitting that 0-10 on the package liner.. it was like she was stuffing a blunt.. nevertheless.. i still failed not based on recent use but 7 months ago. the manager said "they had no appeals to go thru" which i expected. so im stuck out..

now i feel like going to a snoop dog concert with a flame-thrower yelling "fck them all and smoke till your eyes turn green"

yes i have smoked in the past but recent changes in the workforce i knew i needed to 'cut down' which i have drastically...

thing thats really really agg'ing me.. is how they tested me positive for 7 months..when last i remember hitting a joint WAS about 3 months ago..lol
so this exam was really a test to see where exactly my body was.. i know i can pass a UA ( i can do that in my sleep) i know lab test ( not the hair part in detail though) cause i have medical background lab work experience.. im just completely baffled at the results of the Hair exam.. to me i think there is really no set federal standard.. or the ruling is still out on them since obviously labs are going WAY back into some's past to blame them for something which they MIGHT NOT/ARE NOT doing right now..

Just another reason we need to bypass this whole bullshit drug testing regime and just legalize pot. People need to be more vocal. I try to bring it up in any conversation I have with anybody.Whether it the owner of the company I work for or some joe on the street. Maybe thats why I got hit with a random last friday?
