How hard would this be to clean?

Rubbing alcohol and salt, or a good bong cleaner (ROOR recommended).
Fill it up with the liquid, leave it for some time (10 mins, 1 hour? ), shake it every so often.
If your using something good, it will clean up no problem.

basically the bottles they sell are rubbing alcohol and salt and something else works better for some reason must be that mystery ingredient! its probably from outter space!
