Don't dilute, substitute! Got the job, used Quickfix 4.0

Hello everyone. Just thought I would post when I knew for sure I had the job. I had a pre employment drug screen through Quest Diagnostics and used Quickfix 4.0. My story goes like this. Found out I was going to have to do a pre employment drug screen for this job offer I received. I spoke with my friend who had to do one before, and he said after doing much internet research on the subject found that Quickfix 4.0 was the way to go. He tried it with he pre employment drug screen and it worked so I decided I would try it also. I went to a local headshop and picked up two boxes of qf4.0 for $18 dollars each and then went home and began practicing. Attached the heat pad noting the time, put the vial with heat pad under my nuts and checked the temp every 15 min. It took about 45 - 60 min to get it up into the temp range. I bought two vials because my friend said 1 vial only fills up the pee cup just to the right amount, and so as to cause no suspicion, I wanted to fill it up above the line. The next day I called the clinic and they said no appointment was necessary, so I attached the two vials together with heat packs on the outside of both so as to create a qf4.0 sandwich with the heat packs as the bread. Stuck this under my nuts with some boxer briefs and walked around to make sure it would not slip out. This is pretty ridiculous, but I practiced walking into my apartment like it was the clinic, talking to the tech, sitting down, and then going into the bathroom and going through the motions I would when I finally did submit the specimen. Practicing helped calm my nerves and made me less nervous. So when the vials were up to temp, I got in my car and begain driving over to the clinic. My car has seat warmers in the driver and passenger's seats, so I turned up my seat warmer with the qf4.0 crotched to make sure it stayed warm during the drive. Right before arriving at the clinic, I checked the temp, and it was exactly at 98 degrees. I went into the clinic and signed in for urine drug screen. Within 5 minutes a man came out that acted like he could really care less whether I was subbing or not, and had me go into a conference room with him so he could fill out the paperwork that the company I would be working for provided for the drug screen. He filled it out using my driver's license, and then instructed me to go into the bathroom, fill up the pee cup so that the temp strip was below the pee line, and not to flush the toilet or run the sink. Upon entering the bathroom I locked the door, busted out my qf4.0 sandwich and my dick, squirted as much out of both vials as I could, checked to make sure the temp was within range, and then actually peed in the toilet with the purple toilet water. Opened the door and he came in, checked off on the paper work that the specimen was 90-100 degrees, split the specimen into two vials and placed a sticker over them which I had to initial and date. I was then on my way, successfully subbing fake piss for my thc tainted piss. I was surprised about two things, first that the people at the clinic seemed to not really care, maybe even were smokers themselves, and that they didn't have me empty my pockets. After doing this, I now know that subbing is the way to go if you are unsupervised. Takes all the chance out of diluting. My job never mentioned whether I passed or not, they just told me I had the job after me waiting for a couple of weeks. So my advise to anyone out there who has to take an unsupervised, pre employment urine drug screen, get yourself some quickfix 4.0, practice, make sure your qf4.0 is at temp before going into the clinic, and pour it into the cup. It's as simple as that. You'll have the job without having to quit one day. Hell, you could even smoke up before going to the clinic if it helps calm your nerves!

    Great post.

I have to agree with the way the techs handle UA. I'm on a DOT sensitive job so by law there is a certain method that is supposed to be followed. It rarely is.Its done differently every time I take a UA.

For DOT testing the employer, collector, and everyone else involved must follow the DOT regulations to the letter. Any deviation from the regs can result in cancellation of test and/or nullification of the test results.
Do not be afraid to stand up and assert your rights if you suspect any wrongdoing on the part of the collectors or MRO. Arm yourself with the knowledge of all regulations set by DOT.
