This ain't about my intolerance or fear,it's God who said that "man should not lay with man,as he would his wife.."..I have no fear of homosexuals,but I do have fear of God's Wrath in regards to this issue..for me and other Christians who oppose the militant gay agenda's,it's a matter of simple instruction from God..I believe in basic human rights for gays just as I do for any other sinner.

Accusing me or any other Christian,of intolerance and fear-ignores our religious beliefs and turns it into a secular issue,as well as demonize Christians and foster intolerance and fear towards Christians.

As for muslims,who kill and murder,homosexuals everyday,why don't y'all ever criticise them and call for UN resolutions against them for grievous human rights offenses ?

As for understanding the mind of God,that ain't my responsibilty,my responsibility is to study the Word of God and Jesus and do what they expect me to do.

intolerance is at the core of most all religious dogma. this elitist attitude that your special little book hold the ultimate truth and that all who don't hold those same opinions are doomed and somehow less important. of course; lip service is paid to the human rights of others, but when push comes to shove that one little clique is superior to the rest of humanity.

I still don't understand why it was funded with tax payers money? Anyway, here is my little 2 cents! I believe everyone has their right to express themselves. This is really no different than when there were people protesting gays at the soldiers funerals. People need to get over it and move on with making sure their own life is heading in the right direction. I mean does it really make you think differently about Jesus after seeing those images? I am a firm believer in the Father, and Jesus Christ, but I don't associate myself with any religion to further enlighten my spirituality. There is no image in the world that could make me feel differently about Jesus. I think the best thing that Christians could have done would have been to not even give them the publicity. Let them have their parade. If you feel the need to give them the gospel, give it to them if they reject it then just go on about your day. People need to stop letting religious images get them upset.

Ah, well I can certainly agree with that logic. In fact, our beliefs actually aren't all that dissimilar. You see, in my religion we're taught that each and every black person will suffer eternal damnation. It's not about intolerance or fear, mind you, because it says clearly in our texts that it was our god who said that "man with skin like chocolate will burn forever in a lake of fire." I'm glad we're on the same wavelength with that.

Let me reiterate: it is not "intolerance and fear" to criticize a religion that advocates hatred of a group of people whose only crime is doing something you don't approve of in the privacy of their own home. According to your line of thinking, you can justify any hateful belief you want to by simply saying "god said so." Are you really so blind that you can't see how ridiculous that is? It's laughable how stupid it is to complain about intolerance and fear toward Christians being fostered when one of the basic rules of Christianity can be boiled down to "It doesn't matter how altruistically you live your life, or how many people you help, or if you're Gandhi himself; if you don't believe this Jesus guy was the son of god yada yada yada, you're going to be damned for the rest of eternity."

This is the problem. As long as there are so many people that blindly adhere to one random fucking book over another, I really fear for the wellbeing of this world we live in. I mean, think about what you're saying with the above quote. You're basically saying that your responsibility is not to understand why the bible tells you to think and behave in certain ways, but instead to simply follow what the book says. Why do you need a supposedly divine book to tell you what is right? For that matter, wouldn't it make sense to actually try and analyze the validity each thing the book teaches, just in case (gasp) it's all bullshit? Your responsibility should be to do what's right according to logic and reason and common sense, but I guess that's too much to ask when religious people proudly claim to use none of these three things when deciding on what to believe. The only thing more ridiculous than you and your fellow Christians thinking this way is expecting others to accept it as legitimate justification for your intolerance and hate-mongering.

The best thing for Christians to do,is to withdraw their children from public schools that have espouse a militant gay agenda,because the quickest way to change a liberal educator's mind,is to make em lose federal funds for each student enrolled.

Just think of the panic that would ensue in a liberal educator,if Christians staged a nation-wide walk-out for a week-they would lose millions of dollars of our money,that they think is theirs to do with as they please.:thumbsup:

And in Kevin's case where his religion says it's a sin to be Black? Instead of being intolerant of people, you're just intolerant of their actions, actions that harm no one. it's almost the same as the government that demonizes pot smoking.

Maybe they don't hate pot smokers and they just hate the act of pot smoking, that makes their view better, right? Man this issue will never be resolved. I have these same debates with so, so many of the so called Christian religion. Most Christians feel like they're the only ones who are going to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. I don't know about you, but to me that just sounds strange. I personally don't believe that religion is going to get you any where near the Kingdom of Heaven. Christians, and many other religions have seem to got off track somewhere. Instead of following in the teachings of Christ who did lead by example, and excepted more of the cast outs of society. Christ excepted everyone regardless of what sin they were committing at the time. It is not up to anyone who walks this earth to pass judgment on anyone, that is the Fathers job, and the Fathers alone.

Question: How is this different from you saying that your feelings towards homosexuality are not intolerance and fear because it's written in the bible? Answer: it's not, but you and people like you are too fucking stupid to realize it. Liberals should fear not, though, because society as a whole is trending away from thinking like you do. Centuries ago a group of people could be convinced to do just about anything, no matter how unspeakable, so long as their leader "informed" them that the request had come from god, but we've developed enough sense as a society that this is not the case as much anymore. Hell, just a few decades ago, mostly in parts of this country that roughly correlate with today's "Bible Belt," black people were afforded much the same sub-human treatment that homosexuals are given nowadays from the Christian right. However, the country eventually realized the errors of its ways, as it eventually (hopefully) will regarding homosexuality.

This trick must be in the "How to justify your baseless hatred of an innocent group of people" hand book that all you Christian conservatives seem to have. The trick starts by saying something along the lines of "I don't care what homosexuals do on their own , but if they come after me and my kids it's open season on faggots and my shotgun's fully loaded." The next part of the trick is to openly and proudly discriminate against gays as much as possible through legislation and spoken word until they finally ask to stop being trampled on. Once they ask for the abuse to stop you claim that homosexuals are being "militant" when the only thing they're asking for is to have same rights that heterosexual couples get and to not be physically or verbally abused for their sexual orientation. Now you can claim that you're not actually displaying intolerance and fear, you're just defending yourself. It's a bullshit tactic that Christians just love to use nowadays as if the rest of us are too stupid to see through it. Guess what, we're not.

As far as your assertion that anger from Christians toward homosexuals is due to them educating 5 year olds about auto-eroticism and mutual masturbation, that's just asinine. Do you have any credible (and I emphasize credible) evidence that homosexual couples are more likely to do this than heterosexual couples? Now gays are obviously likely to have earlier discussions with their kids about homosexuality in the context of the kid asking "why don't I have both a mother and a father?", but that's really no different from parents responding to a kid asking "where do babies come from?", which, unless I'm mistaken, is a question that many Christians parents answer honestly to some extent for their kids.
