    Losing weight

i have lost a lot of weight by just running and dont eat a healthy diet. so i dont know what the books say, but if you get cardio exercise youre going to lose weight. i was starting to get fatter than i liked so i started running and it worked, and pretty fast too, and now i actually enjoy doing it. i know a lot of people who go on diets and dont lose weight like i did. i dont eat like a pig but i dont avoid fried food, deserts sugar red meat or anything like that. honestly you can be in shape and eat what you want if you are reasonable, of course you are going to need discipline dont go on food binges. so anyway, in spite of what people are saying about diet, i have known a lot of people who say they are going to go on diets to lose weight, and they dont ever end up sticking to them, and if this is something to stick with, think about it, doing a daily workout routine is a lot easier to stick to for many many years than eating a stick of celery for dinner every night for thirty years or drinking that shitty ass carb free beer for years. at least thats how i look at it.

It just takes discipline. I have to go hungry for 3 months while doing the hardest exercise of my life to make weight for wrestling. I also have to partake on most days for medical reasons. If you want to make it easier on yourself, stop keeping junk food around the house. It's easier to not eat the calories than burn them off later.

    ^ yupp

    its all about self-control

just because you have the mounchies doesnt mean you have to finish a whole costco-size family pack of doritos nd wash it down with a 2 liter coke LOL

theres no easy way to lose weight-> workout, go out with your friends and play some sports, control yourself when the munchies come around..its not impossible. drink alot of water...and yeah everyones already said pretty much everything already
commit yourself and your hardwork will pay off

Lots of great advice in this thread, so I can only reiterate: Eat less (or at least healthier) and do more. Take the stairs, not the elevator et al. Grapes are the perfect thing for munchies.

probably the easiest thing you can do is stop drinkin pop and sugary drinks, a can of coke has ~ 170 cals and about 44carbs, if you drink say 5 a day, like i used to thats 850 cals and 220 carbs. Switching to just diet drinks and water is an easy thing to do, and it's effective. After doing that, cleaning up my diet and working out, im down from 235 to 175, and about 11%bf from 32%. I was smokin cannabis the entire time.

^ Awesome man  I'm happy to see people following suit and cutting out unnecessary things in their diets. Sodas are bad so I switched to unsweetened ice tea with a bit of lemon and lime. That and cutting portions had me from 270 to 216 giver or take. Wait thats not true it got me form 268 to 228 maybe even 231.If you give up beef and pork you can loose even more. Went from 228 to 216 and I'm still losing. I'm just about to join a rugby league so I need to get up to 230 maybe 235 in muscle. I'm 6'6 now and I hope to be a defender wait I think, no I'm certain thats lacrosse. Hmm I've never played what are some of the positions in rugby

Watch "Supersize ME!" It will be easier after seeing it!- And eat good, from-the-earth, food. The further from Mama Nature you get, the easier it is to get in trouble! Whole grains, raw veggies and fruit can do wonders. Skip the McSalads- they can have as much artery-clogging fat as a burger! Make your own! - Granny:hippy:

Eat more small meals throughout the day like say 6 meals instead of three. But smaller is the key lol. And at night before you eat dinner eat a big salad with a light dressing (nothing creamy thats just fat ass) before you eat anything else. Lots of fiber and fills you up before you eat anything bad. And cardio is best in the AM as it gets your metabolism going for the day.
