Ionizers for odor control during curing???
I'm about a month away from plucking my girls; they're starting to smell real funky which is making me wonder about how to conceal the stench as they dry. The only area available to me to dry is not well ventilated, but maintains good temperature/humidity levels. It's a closet 3'x5'. Will an air ionizer help with the funky smell?

Ionizers for odor control during curing???
sure, ionizers remove odors ... I use these in my cabinet: Air Purifiers
they work, they're cheap, and my two have been burning for well over a year ... the only negative, is they only work when the light is on, of course ... :smokin:

Ionizers for odor control during curing???
"how do ionizers work?... Ionizers, are built around a negative ion generator. This generator continually sends out a stream of negative ions, which are atoms or molecules that have lost an electron. These negative ions are attracted to the positive airborne dust and allergen particles in the air. As a result, the negative ions join with the positive ions which cause the particles in the ionic air to become heavy. Eventually, they fall to the floor because of their own weight which in turn removes all sorts of particles from the air."

One consideration when using ionizers is the mess they make. They are great at eliminating odors, but when the negative ions attach themselves to dust and other microscopic particles, there's only one place for it to go...straight to the floor. Just be sure to keep things clean, or you might end up with a grungy mess that can prove to be a pain to clean up.
Also, and this is just hearsay, you might want to avoid using the ionizers too close to the plants. I've heard that they can actually ionize the plants themselves, leaving them odorless, and for the most part, tasteless. THC content shouldn't be affected, though. But I know that taste has a huge impact in my enjoyment of the overall smoke.
