3-Leaf Retarded Plant?

i planted a Purple tangerine seed about 3 weeks ago and i noticed the first leaves were 3(three) round leafs and 3 regular mj leaves.

i originally planted it in soil and later that day my gf put about 4 more inches of soil on top of the surface and planted her own seeds (she didnt know i was growing the pot). She planted Bachelors buttons..not sure if this has anything to do with it.
i've never seen this before and i thought maybe somebody would know about this here.

Also, the main stem appears to be abnormally large in terms of thickness and strength. Maybe because it had to grow up 6inches of soil to the surface? Please, any knowledge is good knowledge.

It now has 2 leafs growing out in each direction (so a total of 4) coming out from the sides of the 3 leafs it had made before.

SOMEBODY here has to know something? I know it's not normal.

If it helps, the strain is Purple Tangerine... ??? Any help/knowledge welcome??

A not TERRIBLY uncommon mutation, and perfectly safe- that plant isn't sick, just... think of Zaphod Beeblebrox!

So should I continue growing it or not? Will it have any effect on yield or potency? Thanks.

grow,grow,grow. it looks odd but will likely come out normal.

Safe as in it's not a mutation that will kill the plant.

Here is an update, guys.

If you take a look at the pics, you'll see the top 3 leaves NOW have 2 leafs growing around each of them. lol, i haven't seen this before and i'll just keep her growing and see what happens.
