Lights off Not much cooler than lights on?

Took the day off from school today and noticed my lights off temps today are 73 degrees. I run an a\c unit in my room when the lights are on for the most part... I keep it around 79-82 lights on. I know it stimulates flowering if your lights off temps are 10-20 degrees cooler than your lights on... but is it worth running the a\c the lights off? That thing is damn expensive. My other option is I could stagger the d\h so the room cool down, and then the d\h comes back on...heats it up, takes out the water...etc.

But I am just curious if you guys see it as worth it? I've been told to be careful with mold with this strain and don't really want my d\h off for anytime unless it's needed.

Sometimes I keep it as cool as 75 with the lights on... is this gonig to confuse the plants? I'm not sure if my lights off temps are always around 73, I would assume they are with the d\h running.

I wouldn't play w/ it- the low temp differential will actually contribute to a tighter bract set. It's certainly not going to cause any problems.

You may, strain dependant, see a slightly longer maturation time, w/ a corresponding increase in weight. ( Actually, ratio will skew to weight...:thumbsup

If yer really concerned about fungal issues, you might want to think about prophylactic applications of sulfur or subtillus- strain will come in denser @ low delta-T.

    I did not know this.
Could that be the major issue behind the fluffiness of the OG I'm running? My high/low has been about 95/65 with these weird Indian-summer days and cold nights. I had to do yet another mercy killing yesterday- The MTF doesn't like heat and the AD was looking like death on a bun.

I read it's best to keep lights on / off temps w/in 10 deg. of each other .
Don't remember the reasoning behind this , or even where I'd read it . Can you explain why , and the benefits in doing so in laymens terms guys ? Rhizome - Stinky ?
    Peace guys

Yeah that has been my understanding as well. One reason that I can say is the risk of dewfall when you drop temps drastically in a humid environment- mold city.

So the biggest dif. will prob. be noticed during veg. when node spacing is established ?
    I think . LOL . Atleast in Mums -n- tomatoes .

Veg & transition to flower- most strains will continue to build structure 3-4 weeks after flip.
