Nope not by his voice, yes it helped, but he worked his ass off dude. Fucking dedicated his life to this since he was 12 years old. I think he deserves to be where he is with people praising him. And it's not about the lyrics in the business, you're right - well not _only_ it's everything dude.
I never claimed to know any specifics about the record industry. But it's a business... and what is the first concern of a business? Well, I don't think I even need to answer that, as I'm sure we both know. I never said it was simple, or that rappers don't have to work hard. Anyone can work hard and make it. You don't have to be real good to make it. Afterall, 50 Cent sucks (and no, that's no opinion - it's a fact, and yes I mean that)... but he made it up there. Of course it's not about lyrics. Don't you see that as long as something sells, they'll sell it? They sell it and advertise it to generate mass appeal, it's simple marketing. Lil Wayne's lyrics suck! I can't believe anyone would say they're not simple-minded lyrics that any fool can write.

I can back all this shit up because my bro is pretty big and most everyone here would know who he was but im not gunna drop names. But he deffinitly had to work his ass off. Day and night living breathing eating this shit. Dealing with people telling him he wouldnt do shit, dropping out of highschool. Following people's every command but still trying to do his own thing to make it. It's not easy shit.
Good for your bro, but not all record companies are the same. I'd like you to back it up, since you say you can. Anyone can work hard, but that doesn't mean that Lil Wayne is good... lol.

All I'm saying man is this music isn't garbage. It's a source of _entertainment_ and it can be motivational, but not in a fucking sit down and think like a white person way. It might sound twisted, and of course you can argue that the black community as a whole should think a little deeper, but it is what it is.
The music IS garbage. Take a look at what Lil Wayne is saying... I think it's pretty obvious what is happening there. Not in a fucking sit down and think like a white person way? Well, how does a white person think? And no, I don't think the black community as a whole should think a little deeper - what, do you think I'm racist or something? I don't think black people don't think deep. In fact, I know they do. But does Lil Wayne have deep lyrics? No. What he raps about is bullshit. It turns people into brainwashed customers, and it is garbage. It's a source of entertainment that dumbs people down when they take it to heart and get motivated from it. Do you really think the record industry as a whole gives a shit if their musicians are making good music, as long as it sells good? Of course not. I'm talking about the basic concept of business here. Lil Wayne's rap is ridiculously stupid, and his lyrics often make absolutely no sense.

Just please stop spitting random shit out of your ass if you havent experienced their thoughts first hand.

Well, I think I have experienced Lil Wayne's thoughts first hand, by listening to his ridiculous "music". Money this, money that... bitches this, bitches that... mercedes this, cadillac that... isn't his record company even called Money Records? ROFL. Such materialistic, brainwashing bullshit. A lot of it seems like it's advertisement in itself. The videos show these hot cars, and then everyone wants one.

Yeah man, let's listen to Lil Wayne and get motivated! LOL, what a joke.
