I heard a lot of you saying he speaks bullshit. how do yall know that? Have you been to new orleans? Im not saying because hes from there he did those things, but new orleans is a wild place.

I dont think hes the best rapper alive but cant put him down for claiming it. He is sick. Being sick doesnt mean your lyrics are sick(packed with long worded metaphors) its delivery 2. hes not to be compared to legends but still one of the better rappers or should I say the songs he puts out are as entertaining as other top songs right now.

Lil Wayne is the greatest rapper to the dumbest people.. nuff said really. The 'real rap/hiphop' flys over their head or under their radar because their simple minds can't process the lyrics, so they listen to Lil Wayne exaggerate his simple clever but pointless lyrics on a nice beat. Hell even ANY Papoose song contains more crazy metaphors than all of Wayne's craziest put together. And Wayne has no 'thug' in him whatsoever, apparently he was rapping at 11 and signed at 13.. tell me where he went through most of lifes struggles before he even reached PUBERTY. It's simple, he hasn't, he disses Gillie in a song/video while wearing Gillie's own chain that he let Wayne borrow (proof) hahahahha, you blind suckers.

mfgr hah, you really need to brush up on your "knowledge" of the entertainment business. Yes, it's all about money, but no it's not that simple. Rappers like wayne have to work their asses off and i mean hard. There are millions of people gunning to be the top dog and how did lil wayne get there? Nope not by his voice, yes it helped, but he worked his ass off dude. Fucking dedicated his life to this since he was 12 years old. I think he deserves to be where he is with people praising him. And it's not about the lyrics in the business, you're right - well not _only_ it's everything dude.

I can back all this shit up because my bro is pretty big and most everyone here would know who he was but im not gunna drop names. But he deffinitly had to work his ass off. Day and night living breathing eating this shit. Dealing with people telling him he wouldnt do shit, dropping out of highschool. Top songs? LOL. Too bad most "top songs" suck, too. Mainstream is controlled by the record industry. The record industry's first concern is the bottom line. As long as it sells, it doesn't matter if it's good or not.

I never claimed to know any specifics about the record industry. But it's a business... and what is the first concern of a business? Well, I don't think I even need to answer that, as I'm sure we both know. I never said it was simple, or that rappers don't have to work hard. Anyone can work hard and make it. You don't have to be real good to make it. Afterall, 50 Cent sucks (and no, that's no opinion - it's a fact, and yes I mean that)... but he made it up there. Of course it's not about lyrics. Well, I think I have experienced Lil Wayne's thoughts first hand, by listening to his ridiculous "music".
