He will eventually not be popular, and replaced by someone else. As for him making music since he was 11 and being signed at 13... he sure isn't very good for doing it for so long. But that might be because the record industry tells artists what to do regarding their music.

so if the recording industry
then y is it that wayne sucks and not everyone else? if the industry is giving EVERYONE music.. y is his bad. and y does he not put much into his raps. this line contradicts almost every argument that has been made. maybe you should take you own advice and say that you don't like them and not they suck. i am not disagreeing with you about other artists, but i think that wayne is amazing also.

of course he won't be popular EVENTUALLY, maybe in like 5-10 years when he stops rapping for some reason...

Most mainstream rappers do suck, but there is a small percentage that are mainstream that do not, such as Nas. It does not contradict almost every argument that has been made. I do take my own advice, but it is very clear that Lil Wayne does not have much skill. There's a difference. When someone says that a skilled artist sucks, then it's obvious that they either do not know what real skill is, or that they are exaggerating by saying they "suck." However, the truth is that they just do not like them. I do not like Lil Wayne, because his skill is way overrated, and his lyrics are poor. Artists like him are basically sell-outs.

Then post some of Lil Wayne's "so much more bad ass" lyrics, that show how bad ass his metaphors and "punchlines" are.man wayne's shit is so much more bad ass then those artists, his metaphors and punchlines are way sicker than theirs ALL DAY LONG,
That question is put there to imply that I cannot say that Lil Wayne is not real rap, because I cannot say what "real rap" is, right? I have one statement for you:and who are you to say what "real rap" is dude?
Real rap involves skill, and Lil Wayne does not have that.
Guru and/or Boots Riley could kill his lame flow with ease. You seriously think his flow is "nasty"? Maybe nasty in the sense that it sucks. LOLcome on now, weezy's flow is nasty like C Y Phillis
LOL, here's a little snippet of a verse that Lil Wayne "raps." Gosh, you know what, I think you've been right this whole time... look at these amazing metaphors and punchlines. I'm amazed:
[Wayne]
Wha
I'ma flosser baby, baller baby
A fifteen year old shot caller baby
And I'm racin through
In the all black chrome
A Mercedes Coupe
Got yo' wife at my house
And she naked too
And all my *****s all around
Sayin 'Shake it Boo, go ahead to what you do'
It's Weezy dog and off the heezy dog
And I'm surrounded by the ice
It got me freezin' dog
And it's plain and simple
Won't change 'cause it's natural
Lil' Wayne a pimp y'all
Got the game from Beatris
I'm tryin to see six numbers
Pull up at the Grammy awards in six Hummers
Leave the Grammy awards with six womens
And make a stop at the gas station for six rubbers
Put it together
This is the life when you get full of the cheddar
Don't try to end it or you would'nt get better, what

Oh, wait, here's another one. "How You Like Me Now"
Oh, the metaphors.... the metaphors! I'm overwhelmed with the realization of Lil Wayne's lyrical skill! Metaphors, punchlines (because he's so funny, you know), rhymes. Lil Wayne is a master. He can put down a four letter word and make it rhyme with another four letter word. Like in this other song, he makes "fool" rhyme with "cool." Man, he's good!Got the hog on 2-6
Press a button watch the mothafuka do tricks
I dont know what you on but im on some new shit
While your bitch is on my dick like a gluestick
I got a grill i dont got to get my tooth fixed
The tooth fairy would retire if i lose it
Straight out the clip thats how i spit like an oozy
You cant find me cuz im lost in the music
Im running this and i can jump the hurdles
Im feelin like im racin a bunch of little turtles
Keep a bandanna like the ninja turtles
Im like a turtle wen i sip the purple
[chorus]
[verse 2]
Buck 60 on the dash imma do two
Captain crunch these *****s is fruitloops
Thats why ur girl wanna fuk me and my group too
And imma make her back it up like shoo shoo
Im the birdman junior i gotta do coupes
I hop out that mothafuka holla soowoop
Hollygrove 17 im from the zoocrew
You wuld think every animal in the zoo loose
Fuk wit me im on that screw juice
But i keep my shit together not a screw loose
Word to my goosh boots
Im higher then a new suit cuz we smoke that kush
[chorus]
[verse 3]
Buck 40 on a ring that i dont really wear
But i bet it light up the night like the city fair
This shit aint fair i didnt have to go there
But all this ice got me feelin like a polar bear
Im so aware im so prepared
Im so fly ill take off into the open air
Lift off cristal please crackers with cheese
***** please we on j-e-t's
Like Curtis martin in white and green
Im lightin lightin light the thing
Light the thing no reggie man
U know i smoke that kush
lol, how can you say that these lyrics are good? go take a look at Gang Starr's lyrics. 100x better. Let me also say that Gang Starr takes a bit of getting used to, because well, none of you are used to real rap.

lil wayne's music is not meant for you to listen to it in a deep and philosophical way. its to be listened to while you are smoking a blunt and being entertained by his funny, creative, and entertaining lyrics. dont take his shit too serious, hes not trying to be serious.

I'm glad you bring up Immortal Technique, though. I forgot about him for some reason - he is truly great as well.
YouTube - Lil Wayne - Show me what you got freestyle
How can they call that a freestyle? It's still horrible, and rehearsed.
YouTube - lil wayne freestyle
Obviously at least roughly rehearsed, and it still sucks.
YouTube - Lil wayne rap city freestyle screwed by kaleon
Why did they have to alter his voice? I guess because it makes it sound better than it actually is.
