i think they did this before, they were experimenting with sound in the 60/70's, they were called pain field generators i think. they were going to use them for crowd control (it was the time). i think the english bobby's used them on a riot and it failed, could not focus the direction of the sound wave.

Just found this, it seems like a crazy idea, but then again i feel its better than firing off a couple M-16 rounds into a group of people. This machine sends out 95 GHz millimeter waves, that penetrate a 64th of inch beneath the skin, where the most nerve receptors are concentrated.
