Small plants VS Big Plants

I've got a question for those experienced growers out there

I am growing some plants that grew big on me while vegetating indoors under 3000 watts of power.

They are growing nice , entering the last weeks of budding , but they don't look nothing like the ones I grew outside which didn't vegetate as much and stayed super small.

The ones outside are almost done , but they are much nicer looking than the ones inside , which are bigger , but not nicer.

Question 1 : Does bigger plants take longer to bud than smaller plants. Should I give them more time ?

QUestion 2 : Does smaller plants produce better bud than big plants ?

1) No, bigger plants do not take longer to bud. And you said they are entering the last weeks of budding, so yeah I guess they need more time, like a couple weeks or so. Use your pocket microscope to look at trichomes no matter what, indoor, outdoor, big, medium, small. That's the only way to tell for sure.
2) No, smaller plants do not produce better bud than big plants. Better bud is determined by genetics.

Your indoor plants probably grew bigger because depending on how the light was positioned relative to the plants, 3000 is a lot of damn watts. It's easier to grow better plants indoors, but it is the same high as the outdoor plants of the same strain.

In my exp. huge shrubs do take longer to finish indoors ,
All about light placement -reflector-growing style etc...<- like opie said . Never rely on a breeders claims of 8 weeks - 10 weeks etc... to flower either . Always rely on your pocket scope and check your trichs .

I've done same strain in and out that end up looking nothing alike too. Mother nature does the "toxic waltz" on outdoor plants via. rain , pests etc...

1.) Yes. Larger root mass, Larger plant.. the longer it takes to get those nutes from the roots to the top of the plant.
2.)No. Kinda what Opie said, it's genetics.. however, you can get more dense and thicker bud off a smaller plant.. not always, but can.

Maximize what you yield from one seed by cloning. Clones can be rooted under any light cycle... they just require super high humidity. You can cut, root and veg all in the same area as your mothers.. than when ready put those clones into flower...

This only applies the very first time you ever give the plant nutrients. After that, there's a constant supply and this is moot.

Plant size and bud density are independent of each other. Bud density depends upon genetics, availablity of carbon, and intensity of light.

Clones can be rooted under any light cycle...

Clones should only be rooted under at least 16 hours of light. Rooting under light conditions that would induce flowering in a regular plant will do the same wiht clones, and not only will you have the plant making the wrong hormones, but you will then have to re-veg the clones before flowering, adding about 3 weeks to your cycle, and greatly increasing chances of hermaphrotidism.

Thanks guys , i will clone next time and defnetlly grow SOG growing more smaller plants instead of bigger plants.
