Ever had a friend who has a personality trait that seems to overpower him/her every time s/he smokes up?

I have a friend who becomes an extremely awful person to be around when he's high. He gets paranoid, rude, and easily offended. Experiences with him include: him screaming at someone who was going to smoke us with HER OWN POT, and calling her a bitch; him screaming at me for saying, "what are you doing?!" when he snatched a chip out of a friend's hand (shouting, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING! OMG! WE WENT THROUGH THIS GIANT ESCAPADE TO GET HIGH AND NOW YOU'RE GOING TO EAT AND BRING YOU DOWN?!"); and countless random bouts of paranoia that ruin things for everyone else when he insists, "we can't go to the park! I just want to siiiiit here."

In short: he's a giant drama queen, and it pisses me and everyone else off.

Has anyone got any techniques for calming down a bitchy stoner, or is this just one of those "that's how it is" things?

Really, would it be worth the effort to calm him down, or should I just stop smoking with him altogether, because it really is annoying?

I can't really offer any advice, but I know what you're going through. A good friend of mine is constantly acting like a total bitch towards people when we smoke...Her excuse EVERY time someone calls her out for it is, "I'm just really stoned right now, man!".

Bitchy stoners are the worst, man..What happened to us being a peaceful peoples?

all I can say is distance your self from him and when he starts to ask let him know and when he denises catch him in his rants. Tell him "see this is why we dont chill with you", after a while he will have to step it up or just relax. Ihave a freind like this, years of malnurishment, not enough schooling, and a constant desire to drink, have made him a weak soldier. But when ever we wana start a fight we just send him over to the enemie/oponents to make conversation and like clock work within 5 minutes they wana killem.

Wow, I'd have to kill some one like that. Call him out on it personally and if he doesn't shape up then just stop hanging out with him. I haven't had some one like that and hope I never do.

smoke without him in front of him with other ppl and be like no dude your not getting any you cant handle it... then he will probably like beg for you to let him back into your group and if he still does it deliver party fouls.. whos ever being a buzzkill or just annoying you get to party foul them aka hit them as hard as you want so they arent annoying

I try to avoid negative people. Life's too short! The people I've toked with in the past are always easy going, love to just chill and laugh a lot. That's what blazing is all about! There's no reason to be bitchy or anything while high. That's just my two cents though.

That sucks, man. Like people here have said, just call him on it, because really, that would kill my buzz. If it doesn't stop, stop smoking with him and find someone else.

Yeah... if he doesn't change just ditch that buzzkill. I hate it when people use the excuse that they're really stoned. Smoking weed does not turn you into an asshole.

I can totally relate dude. I recently got one of my best friends into smoking weed and every time we get high around other people he's extremely rude: Always asking to smoke more of other peoples weed, asking them to buy him food when we have the munchies, shit like that. Oh and anytime he smokes and drinks he ALWAYS ends up puking.

And while we're all high and enjoying it, he starts rambling about rediculous shit and it annoys most the people around us. So the other day I finally told him about all the stupid shit he does and from now on, if he does any of that stupid or rude shit again, I'll say a special phrase we will decide on beforehand that basicly means, "Shut the fuck up, dude." That's prolly the best way to go about it.

Tell him, next time he starts being a cunter, just tell him straight.
If he starts shouting making a scene, just let him get on with it and carry on doing what your doing. Don't give him the attention and ignore his outbursts as much as you can, he'll soon give up if you just don't care.
