our Supreme Court ignores the 4th Amendment
Actually, it doesn't. Our courts have ruled you don't have a reasonable expectation of privacy in the odors coming from your luggage, car, etc. So, a dog sniff isn't covered by our 4th Amendment right against unreasonable search and seizures. I'm not saying it's right, but that is the way the courts have ruled on it.
