Well, just realize that while many of us might have moved out physically, being financially on our own was another matter. That definitely came later for lots of us who responded. In our economy these days, it's harder and harder to be financially on your own as a young person.

If most parents are like us (I'm not sure they are), their kids are welcome at home. Home's where you're welcome and loved. But I know it cramps your style when you want to be out and free of scrutiny and on your own. I read a parenting article the other day that said the after-25 years were the more common ages now for most adult children to have attained enough income and stability to support themselves. The article didn't make a distinction for adult kids with college degree and those without. Try and be patient with yourself and your living situation. At least you have a place to be!!
