When did you move out?
I feel like I'm lagging behind in the game of life. I'm 20 (21 oct 22nd) and most of my friends have already moved out of their parents house. Granted, most of them also have their parents paying for their car, which mine aren't.
But I did make a silly move by buying a $12,400 car when I was 19. Right after I graduated high school, I got a warehouse job with two other friends to make money before I started college. I saved up a little over $8,000 and put a $4,000 down payment on my VW GTI Turbo. Now, it's causing me not to be able to move out.
I plan on saving up and using my tax return money to move out in Feb...if possible.
But the poll is for me to see what the average age is for moving out on your own.Veratyr Star Reviewed by Veratyr Star on . When did you move out? I feel like I'm lagging behind in the game of life. When did you move out?
22, married and have a kid... still live in my grandparents house... probably sounds bad, i'm not exactly happy with it... but to move out would be just asking for failure... we can't get housing, as there is a list to get on just to get on the list to wait years to get housing help (katrina certainly didn't help any, neither did rita)
this house is technically 'mine' but idon't see it that way.... but my grandma has already promised it to me when she goes.... but that's not why i'm still here... as i said it'd just be asking for failure to move out.... i refuse to leave my kid without a mother and father like i had to live, and i'd say we're doing good as it is just holding it together (life is a stressful thing.... i wish i had someone to teach me this and prepare me.... not that i would have probably listened, but i'd of certianly prefered to a chance to prepare myself)
i will do everything it takes to stay with my wife (and i do love her...incase she reads this or anyone else thinks i'm only staying with her for our son, cuz that's just as bad as leaving him without a parent) i would literally go through hell and high water to make this work..... i want him to have the close knit family i never even had the chance to have...

When did you move out?
Do you mean when we physically moved out or when we were financially and really on our own? Physically, I left at 16 to go to college. But I wasn't gainfully employed, in my own Birdie-financed apartment and able to support myself till I was 21 and got my first job. They still helped me even then, from what I remember, because I made so little money.

When did you move out?
I'm legal and still living with my parents. My sister is 25 and still lives at home.
I don't care what other people say, I leave this house when I'm done with my University studies, get a good paying job, a car, money in the bank and those things.
I'd rather do that than live paycheck by paycheck, pay rent, go to school and work, while trying to balance a social life in between all that at 18,19, or 20.
Too much stress that I don't need.Senators 6-1-0

When did you move out?
I'm 18, and live with just my mum. I'm actually in the process of buying a house with my mum o_O. The idea is just to get on the propperty ladder while I can, and maybe rather than me move out from our new place, she will move out.
There is just no need for me to struggle on my own moving out, I have yet to come across a lady who I would even consider moving in with, and I just don't have the money to live comfortably.
