I like being driven by someone else. I can read or study or talk on the phone or sleep or do embroidery or whatever I want. Then I'm not all traffic-tense when I arrive at my destination.

If I'm going to be in pretty country where there are fun hills and curves and it's a nice car with good acceleration, then I like to drive myself. More often than not, if we're in the city and I'm in the car with my husband or my parents or friends, then I'm the one driving. Dave can't drive and talk on the phone at the same time, and he inevitably gets calls regarding patients. My parents aren't big-city drivers. And my friends know I have a magical ability to speed (within reason) with relative immunity. So I generally end up as the chauffeur.
