I had a couple show up at my door and tell me, "We want to talk to you about God's plan for mankind."
I told them, "I heard it's going to be an asteroid!"
Then I shut the door.

I'm of two minds about the JWs. One elderly man, I respected. He left me his tracts and I gave him fresh herbs (oregano, basil, etc). (And, yes I read them.) He was Italian and his wife was a good cook, but lacked fresh herbs. We respected each other, but disagreed on religion. (I'm Wiccan.) He kept hoping he'd convert me, and I kept hoping I'd convert him!

Another fellow- I totally freaked him out. He was PROUD that the ONLY book he read was the Bible. He was a total A-hole and I treated him as such. I wondered if he washed his Bible after I touched it? Yeah, he was THAT bigoted!

As for me, well,- "There are many paths up the mountain, but the view from the top is the same." I'm just not sure that particular dude was going "up the mountain".- Granny:hippy:

My brother in law is Jewish. When someone tries to talk to him about Jesus, he quotes a verse from Deuteronomy that basically says if anyone tries to turn you away from your religion, you should stone that person to death. That usually shuts them up.

Lol I remember fucking with some JW on holloween oen time cause they wouldn't give me and my friends candy. They lived next door to my best friend's cousin. They were like we don't celebrate holloween. I'm like why not. They said because it was a ritual of satan and I said no your just to cheap to buy candy asshole and left lol.

I actualy had one stand behind my car once so that I could not leave. Scared the crap out of me. So when I got out of the car and she tried to hand me a booklet. I took one of my pamplets from work(It's a septic place) and started tellling her why god wanted her to get a new enviromentaly friendly septic system for the low price of 22 thousand dollars. Every time she tried to speak I spoke over her.

I don't think it was rude. She was trying to give me her line of shit and I tried to sell her a place to put that shit.

This is pretty funny - 2 old ladies knocked on my door the other day (I thought they were neighbourhood watch lol) and asked me if I had "found god"

I told them YES! she will be back in 30 minutes and if I don't get her dinner ready then I'm dead.

They tend to leave faster than Benny Hill on speed!

We just answer the door naked when they come a knocking. You can probably guess we don't get too many JW's knocking on our door. LMAO

I always listen to what they have to say, I had a few of them coming to see me weekly for about 3 months. I think they got sick of me arguing with them and they stopped coming.......

We had some good discussions. JW's are good people for the most part, they believe God(Jehovah) requires them to spread the word of God as much as they can. So it can be a bit overwhelming.

They couldnt convert me, so I think they gave up. Probably best to ignore them unless you are bored and feel like chatting, lol. I'll talk to anyone for some reason.
