    okay im new to growing what exactly is a clone i know you cut off some of the plant or someting similar to that but how and how many weeks into the grow

    You can clone several weeks into veg (and flower) once there are multiple growing tips on a plant. Cut a few nodes below a growing tip with a sterile blade, then use whatever cloning method you find easiest.

    In my sig there's good cloning instructions.
    To prep a plant to give the max # of cloneable shoots, pinch the growing tip and then wait a couple weeks for side growht to take off.
