    Any Advance for nOObie

I started this thread because I was concerned for the height of my plant. Well I let if veg for almost and extra week and I have also been trimming clones off to try to start them. Will the clones work taking them from this plant? Also any advice? The plant is short, only 11", but is sure is wide, over 18". It is looking nice and I was planning on switching the light over this weekend after 5 weeks of veg, any advice? I think overall it is looking good, have just bumped the nutes up to 800 from 400. I went 400 for about a week, but I have been spraying it with Very High Output and it seems to be responding well... I have added a couple of pics, any feedback is appericated.

I am planning a SCROG since I lost my other plants. I have a screen to put on but the plant is still a little short. I plan on switching over to 12/12 on Sunday.

That sounds good. I would put the screen in now and veg a little more and raise the lights a little to promote some strecthing to get the tops to grow into the screen.:rasta::rastasmoke:imp:

Your plants will double or triple in size after you switch to flowering. If you can't raise your light any, you will need a screen. I like to keep my light as close as possible at all times. More light = more weed.

How close should the light be? I have it at 12" right now, should I lower it?

I added a screen this weekend to start training it. For my cabinet that is 18"x48" I have almost a 50% screen coverage with the one plant and I have a dwarf plant that for some reason is 3 weeks behind. Is there a majic number that I should wait to in veg, or do you think I should switch to 12/12 now? My thought is that if this thing triples size, I am going to fill the cabinet pretty good with my 1 1/4 plants..

I am thinking for my next grow to remove the cabinet and just use the room I have the cabinet in and add a 600W to my 400W for a 1000W total. I would like to run 4-6 plants outside a cabinet to get large plants.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I like to have my plants as close as possible to the light without heat stressing them. No doubt that more lumens = more weed. Gradually keep moving the light closer and closer until you see slight signs of stress, then move it back a little. For the most part, keep it that distance for the duration of the grow. However, don't make it so close that any stalks or plants around the perimiter of the grow do not get good light. I have a cool tubes with dedicated ventilation, and plants are about 4 inches away for my 400 watter, and 8 inches for my 600 (for flowering).

Getting the screen to fill in perfectly by harvest's end is a tricky process requireing practice and patience. I have done it many times but still haven't got it quite dialed in. I usually have just a bit over 50% screen coverage when going to 12/12. Then I let it fill in for another couple weeks before letting the shoots come straight through.

400 and 600 are good choices for a perpetual harvest. I use 8 plants for a grow and try to have 400 veg at the same time I have 600 for flower. That way I'm harvesting twice as often as just growing one set at a time.
