Suggestion For The Adult Only Rule?

I don't think it matters if the parents ACTUALLY consent. The rule is in place for liability issues and a system like that suggested by Nation 1ne would take care of liability issues. I mean obviously many minors would get around it by using an email address that they can access to consent for themselves, but that still is not the point. Liability would be addressed and yeah, this site might just liven up a bit more..

I can relate to this for sure. I had been using a username for almost two years with countless posts and threads and maybe some respectability. Alas, three weeks before my 18th birthday I was banned. : ( It definitely turned me off to this site for a while and then finally one day when I realized I was actually 18, I created another username.

Myself and some other members came up with the idea that a Parental Registry Form system be used.

How do we confirm that this actually come from a parent and not the person, friend, brother, etc.........sorry to say but it would just be another moderating headache.

But you see it really doesn't matter legally. I mean you will have covered yourselves just by having this and anyone who does go about joining the site that way will take over liability.

Unless the admins really have somethin against minors (and that should be used loosely. I'd say AT LEAST 75% of those "minors" are somewhere around 16 - 17). We've all started smoking before that and if you didn't you probably wish you had. This site is for those that can contribute to the cannabis community and it shouldn't be stipulated that you have nothing to contribute just because you haven't been on the planet as long as everyone else.. In fact I'd wager that some of the most repsected members on this site are minors or were at one point..

Not my house and the owner of this house decided to make it an adults only site.......easy enough. IF I decided to make it where kids weren't allowed in my place there would be no debate to it.

This may be a free site but the owner makes the rules.......
