Suggestion For The Adult Only Rule?
Dear Canna.com users, I was recently thinking about the new under age rule and how it has affected us. It's obvious that it has removed a lot of spam, however some does still remain. But the bigger issue being (for the community), is that it has died down a lot, or so it seems. We have lost a lot of great members to this ruling and it feels the community over all to is suffering from it. I understand the rule is in place and has well justified reasons for staying.
Myself and some other members came up with the idea that a Parental Registry Form system be used. For example if a minor wants to use this website they would have to have their parents consent to use it. This would keep away any liabilities for the website regarding age issues. I feel that as a very popular cannabis forum/community it is up to us to help guide our younger users. I understand some of the older members think "Well I had no Internet forum", well you're right you didn't. But I'm sure you made some mistakes in your youth, and I'm pretty sure you're willing to give advice to younger people who seek it.

â??Hey all, Billy here. As some of you may know, I was banned a little while back for being under 18. In all honesty, I'm 17. You can bet I'm upset about it. I feel that Cannabis.com is a community, and that the information here about cannabis, aside from the grow information, should be viewed by everyone. I understand why the adult only rule was implemented, but I feel that it needs revised for the greater good of our community we have here. Now I'm not real familiar with vBulletin, which is the software this forum runs on, but it would make sense to me that it would have some sort of feature that would need parents activation if a minor would sign up. I've seen it before at other sites, but I'm not sure if they ran on VB. I would register, and after it realized I was a minor, would ask for my parents email and would send them an activation email. Also, I know there is information available at cannabis.com that isn't minor friendly. So then it would also make sense for VB to have a feature to close off certain areas to certain people. Such as age restriction on the cultivation area, parts of the sexuality area, ect. I also agree that a standard of maturity should be kept at Cannabis.com, so I'm not saying let the nosepickers in. Obviously we don't want those sort of members. It may require more work, but I think in the long run it'd be worth it for our community. I really hope the mods, and Sundance, will see this as a genuine suggestion and not remove it immediately.â?
I hope some others will voice their opinion on the matter. NOT on the rule itself, but on the suggestion made.Nation_1ne Reviewed by Nation_1ne on . Suggestion For The Adult Only Rule? kids would just say they are 18 so the concent form would not have to be filled out

This ain't NC17 or R rated or sumfin. It don't matter if Mommy says cool, you still can't get drunk and rap wit a pig. You'd still get busted. Why should this be different. Intoxication is intoxication and the rule is so maybe the public might see some sense of responsibility here. So my vote (like this is a democracy?), no. But maybe Sundance wants to allow backsliding? I doubt it.
