We're using 48W CFLS and 2 more will be going in tonight in the other corners. A 24W CFL hangs above the pot. Small fan leading to light tight ventilation tube. Box is lined with white paper and is 4.25 feet high and about 1.75 ft wide. Lemme know some initial comments and Rating: 5

Thanks so much guys, especially BigWeed. I have done alot of research on cultivation and I just want to make sure that after investing all the money, It's done right so I may enjoy some free buds to smoke. I just purchased another two cfl tubes but they are specifically for growing plants so apparently they emit the right color spectrum ect. So those 2 will occupy the other 2 available corners and I got a dual socket adapter as to hang 2 42 watt cfl bulbs from above..I think my friend and I might move the setup downstairs to his abandoned basement underneathe the stairs i na crawl space. MUCH more room and has alot of potential. Only problem is he rents the place cause we are college students and the landlord might be down there? Why he would be underneathe the stairs i don't know but my real concern is I think a friggin hobo lives down there..There is a mattress and pillows down there along with bacardi bottles scattered everywhere...:wtf: ANyway I dunno I just wanna be able to have more then one plant going to make sure we get a femme..I'll take pics of the new setup when everything is set up on monday and post the pics. I'll also take pics of the crawl space. Thanks guys I appreciate the feedback.

You'll need AT LEAST 4 forty-two watt cfl's above that plant. Eight would be much better.

Right now I have 2 42 watt spiral cfls hanging over top. 2 75 watt 24 inch flouro tubes in opposite corners and 2 75 watt 24 inch grow light flouro things that I got at wal-mart that are used specifically for growing plants each in the other opposing corners. So 4 24 inch flouros in all 4 corners of the box and 2 42 watt spiral flouros overhead. First seed germinated and into the pot today so we should see the lil seedling pop up in the next few days then it will be in that lighted environment I just mentioned with the lights on 24/7. When should I introduce partial strength nutes? After it grows up a bit and gets transplanted? Thanks for the feedback guys and I'll post new picks tomorrow.

My advice to you Iforgot is to work with the space you have as long as it is safe. Don't move it your friends place where the landlord may discover what you're doing. You need to have your grow room COMPLETELY isolated and secret for it to be worth doing and safe to continue doing for any reasonable amount of time. Your lighting sounds alright for vegging. You really are supposed to flower with a HPS light due to the emphasis on red/orange spectrum. You could try it with the flurescents but you might not get the results in quality or in yield that you desire.
Also, as far as nutrients, I cannot express how much better organic bud is than nonorganic. I tried to do chemmy bud and it burns and tastes like crap. Furthermore, as I think someone else said, Foxfarm makes a great organic soil. I use Happy Frog organic soil. Its also important to add more good stuff to the organic soil like earthworm castings(provides nitrogen), perlite, Peace of Mind's "Fruit & Flower" (great additive), Peace of Mind's Bat Guano (provides phosphorus to be used during budding), and mushroom compost.
I use all of the above added in the soil and then supplement that with Nature's Nectar organic fertilizer and an occasional boost of Nitrozime marine algae extract which is a hormone that helps promote vigorous growth.
Hopefully this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

Well ty OrganicDelight for the advice. I got oganic soil and transplanted the seedling into a bigger pot and am now using organic liquid fertilizer as well. Itsmade from kelp and fish or something. It is safe in its original location and will remain there thanks for your concern. I will post pics of the seedling its doing very very well. bout 2 weeks old. pics comin in a sec!

ok well, you've invested alot into your grow room, but most of it isn't be used very much.
you wanna keep your growing lights 1-3 inches away from the tops of your plants, and slowly raise them.
the tube floros on the sides are almost being put to waste
and the CFL's hanging seem way to high in the picture.
Try that and it'll grow a lot better.

I agree, put the CFLs a lot closer so you do not lose precious lumens
