Did I just screw myself?

I took my test today, I did the aspirin/bvitamin/water-tea shit. But I was paranoid about it coming back diluted so I cut back on the water/tea to only about a half-gallon total before the test.

My urine came out fairly natural looking, didnt use the first part or the last. Wasnt my first void of the day (third I believe).

But anyways, this isnt to address the likeliness that I passed or not, that's long gone, only time will tell now.

I was obviously nervous and my head was elsewhere. I went in, comfortable and fairly professional looking, made small talk with the hispanic-origin labtech lady, seemed nice. I called ahead asking for directions, and it still took me a while to find the place. She did the paperwork, I took my jacket off and emptied all my pockets, I came with only my wallet, keys, watch and cellphone. She told me to go into the bathroom and not to wash my hands or flush the toilet.

This is where my dumbass fucked up, even though I wasn't substituting at all, and I didn't even have any intention to dilute the sample with tap water, I did a mindfuck and rinsed my hands off. She was outside and asked if I tried washing my hands.

I didn't look scared or suspicious IMO, I looked dumbfounded, cause I was, I couldn't believe I did the exact opposite of what she told me. I said "you said don't?!, i'm sorry". She collected the sample, filled the remaining paperwork out and didn't accuse me of anything and didn't ask me to retest. I did ask "Is that extremely bad or something? I've never done a piss test before". She responded, "Ye ... just don't do it the next time".

She collected it, didn't write down any remarks on the CoC (chain of custody) form besides the temperature and some code/#s.

So, did I fuck myself by doing that idiotic thing?

I'm going to be depressed if it comes back positive for weed, of course. But to fail because they accused me of cheating at the center itself when it was an honest mistake, that would be a 100x worse.

Nah, I've done BOTH before - damn short/long term memory loss, LOL. I've flushed the toilet AND washed my hands. i just said Oh shit, and apologized, and they were cool.

but then, I was clean, as at that time i hadn't turned on in ages....

If she said "yea...just dont do it next time," you're fine. I don't think she would have gone through with the sample if she didn't think it was legit.

lol, I did the same thing once... except I flushed the toilet. Still passed the piss test though.

Yeah, you're fine - at least in that aspect. She didn't care, just had to say that to be sure she did the right thing. Afterall, the testing employees can't be sure it's not a corporate employee testing them....

I think at this point - for you, it's all about the chemicals in the specimen.

It looks like you did everything else right so you should be OK.Its been about 2 weeks since your last smoke so your chances are pretty good.You should know by monday or tuesday.

I called the Labcorp 1-866 number and tried to get my results, not knowing that only the employers or ordering physician can get them. She, obviously, said she couldn't tell me the results, but she did tell me whether the test(s) had been completed yet aka resulted.

I took the test Wednesday, and she said the test had been resulted out yesterday (Thursday).

Is this a good thing or can I still be concerned? If they had to do a GC/MS confirmation on the EMIT positive, would it (in theory) have taken them more time than just one day to get the results?

I'm thinking yes, optimistically, because they probably process hundreds or thousands of samples, and then I think it would take another day for the GC/MS confirmation test. At least this is what I hope.

Any opinions?

Well, I got the results from my employer, just an half-hour after posting that reply.

Came back negative-dilute, and thank my lucky stars that they are letting me do another test, they are overnighting me another CoC form. This gives me till Monday to get the form. Then, in theory, I can wait till Wednesday to take the test. I will probably do it sooner though, as to not raise suspicion.

I only drank about a half-gallon of liquid before the test, maybe even less than that. So if it came back negative-dilute with so little of a dilution method, then does that conclude I could probably pass without diluting my shit at all by then?

I played it smart and haven't smoked after the test . So, by the time I take the test again, I will have been clean for 19-20 days (21 if I take the risk of suspicion and wait till Wednesday).
