green flies, like on rotten meat????
OK HERES THE DEAL, I have these green flies all over my plant
like regular house flies ,but shiny green. The kind that flock to
decaying meat. I wonder if its the bat guano, sea bird guano and
earthworm castings i have been putting in with my fert program
does the plant release the smell of the guano through the leaves?
i wonder why they like my plant so much?? they are probably just
getting high !1stimegrower Reviewed by 1stimegrower on . green flies, like on rotten meat???? OK HERES THE DEAL, I have these green flies all over my plant like regular house flies ,but shiny green. Possibly they are attracted to something in the soil and are just hanging out on the leaves. Those types of flies don't have biting or piercing mouthparts and cannot damage your plants, except by acting as vectors for disease, which is not a particular worrisome problem if your plants are otherwise very healthy.
I'm sticking this in 'plant problems'.

green flies, like on rotten meat????
I bought some potting soil lately from homebase , got it home , transplated my 4 rhinos , put them back under light , only then to discover that the whole bag of soil was infested with blackflys !!
I transplated them within 30 mins into fresh soil and they were cool , now when i go to buy soil i always check 2 see if the bag has any holes in , as most of the time they tend to be unsterilised if they have.

I think them little f*ckers will take away all yout trichomes on their f*cking little feet. I would kill em all as soon as possible. It must be warm where ya are.I have seen only a few flies around here. And I think they call them green bottle flies. I have seen a little item they have sold here in the summer. It is a fly trap that is like a plastic bag, that has an entrance in the top of it. You put in this powder that comes with it and mix with water. It smella like a dead animal when it activates. It would be a great camo for any smells you might have drifting in the air too
Good luck amigo
