safe to ingest commercial weed?
The chemicals enter your bloodstream when you smoke it and ultimately get metabolized by your liver anyway.
If you are concerned about pesticides, grow your own, or find a source who can guarantee that you are getting organic buds, just as you would for the food you eat.
Luckily, the pesticides commonly used on cannabis are things like pyrethrin, neem, and sulfur- the first two being very VERY safe plant-derived substances, and the latter being used as an anti-fungal in many types of greenhouses, not simply ones that produce cannabis.
Good question though.stinkyattic Reviewed by stinkyattic on . safe to ingest commercial weed? the consensus seems to be that low grade weed works best for cooking. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but wouldn't mass produced field grown weed that ends up being shwag or mid grade have a greater chance of containing harmful chemicals such as pesticides? I don't know anything about the process of growing fields of weed outdoors but I assume that this is where mid grade weed comes from, the kind that has sticks and stems in it. If mid grade weed does in fact contain harmful chemicals I would Rating: 5
