The topic is pretty long but I'll try to keep it short. Basically, for child porn site reasons, the Feds want every webmaster to include 2257 documents (photo ID, contracts, etc) ON EVERY PAGE OF THE SITE containing models in any kind of sensual fashion. That means no one would be able to post a picture of a person here that is leading to sexual thought whether they are clothed or not.. because cannibis.com obviously doesn't have 2257 documents for everyone. Although it suggests that Hollywood figures are exempt (Unconstitutional... oh wait Bush is in office!). For a few years now all the adult webmasters have been furious over this because it requires a link to this info on sites containing hardcore material, but as of July 2006 it includes any kind of pages with material that includes sexual desire, and the info needs to actually placed on every single page, not linking to one page containing it all.

Now I have never seen any of these alleged child porn sites. I'm sure they exist out there if you dig, but you only need to rely on your common sense to realize that it is IMPOSSIBLE to stop these sites. It is impossible to stop a person from creating a page with pictures... PERIOD. These "child porn sites" are not created and marketed, they are hidden (AFAIK) in the internet somewhere for perverts to find. Nothing will stop these from being created!

Why do I think this is ruining our country? Amateur webmasters will quickly be erased from the internet community either by decision or jail, I'm sure this will have a somewhat negative effect on the economy depending on the amount of people are webmasters. The few that do get through will be required to setup an 'office' for all these 2257 documents and have a receptionist to take care of any calls or visits from the Government, which means more people will have to spend all kinds of money and time to stay in business and are only becoming closer to dept and/or failure in the financial world. Models and webmasters will have their information shown to people viewing the websites, which will probably create a nice number of STALKERS in this country among others! Let's not include the gigantic unnecessary funding the Government will probably use to enforce these laws.

These are proposed laws (just the ones as of July '06), so they are giving the public a moment to comment before they ignore us and make it actual law. LOL - also this does not pertain to material created before July '06. But if you have no documents how are you going to prove the material was created before July '06 while the cops are standing in front of you with cuffs? Welcome to the trap people...

This is just another issue that shit for brains Bush and his merry band of idiots have blown way out of proportion.Having perused the pages of porn site for many years,I have never run across a child porn site.Seen lots of beastiality and other weird shit but never child porn.

Are you serious? And your statement is completely backwards, if we actually tried we could kill Bin Laden (will NEVER happen) to stop the videos (they wouldn't be stopped really). On the other hand you CAN NOT stop people from posting pictures online. Why does any sane person think that?
