    simple question

    Absolutely! The top (apical meristem) will almost ALWAYS flower first. You can usually see the first signs of sex by examining the top of the plant for male/female flowers. This isn't quite as true for plants that have been LSTed or FIMed (if you don't know what that is, then you probably didn't do it), but generally the top branches (where the cola forms) will flower first.
