It slows them down! If any get past the foil, yes, they will lay eggs. But the foil makes a pretty big difference! Some commercial veggie farmers use it in their fields to organically deter pests. It also bounces back light on those small bottom buds. :thumbsup:

If you want to get out the "heavy guns", I believe that there are strains of BT (bacillius thurengensius- or something like that- I medicated and it messes with my spelling) that can control the pesky little critters. BT, by the way, is NOT toxic to warm blooded creatures. It is a nasty disease of insects only. You sprinkle the power on the soil and the larva die a horrible death. Be sure to check the strain- some kinds are better for certain pests. It will say on the container. - Granny:hippy:
