    ???About late season transplant...

Up to this point I've been growing my gals in large pots. The temperature in my area has unexpectedly dropped. I'm wondering if transplanting my girls into the ground will shock them? Perhaps this isn't necessary; temps are in the low 40's at night. ANY feedback will be greatly appreciated!

It's pretty late to be doing transplanting- I would just let them finish. In pots, you can put them in the garage at night and give yourself some safety against an early frost too. Or bring them up against the side of the house and cover them at night with a sheet.

It's not feasible to move them inside or next to the house. So, even if I dig holes slightly larger than the pots their in, it'll shock them? Will temps in the low 40's at night completely stunt their growth?
