Emu oil might mix up nice with the THC oil, as emu oil is also a natural anti-inflametry.

I have been carrying on a discussion on another thread about the viability of THC lotions. I have had access to some extremely potent and incredibly cheap THC oil and have been performing experiments with lotions.

The idea is that it can be carried anywhere (like in you luggage for a long flight for example) without any suspicions being drawn, and can get you high in your hotel room without having to find a local source or have to shove an eighth down your pants and pray you make it through airport security

So far the results have been excellent, aside from the required excessive amounts of oil needed, it is an effective way to get stoned.

Typically application of 4 grams (doesn't sound like a lot but expect to apply liberally) lotion containing about 8% THC (almost pure with an extremely low level of lower cannabinoids and cannabinol) is an effective dose that comes on in about 10 minutes and lasts about 20 to 40 minutes.

The lotion is a mix of commercial applications and some ingredients of my own to help increase absorption. Hand sanitizer seems to be fairly effective, most likely due to the high content of Ethyl alcohol.

Either way my girlfriend enjoys the high she gets from the lotion and has requested that I make a Sex Lube containing the THC;
this is where we are at now.

I was thinking about using a glycerin based water lube (the thinking is that the glycerin would act as an emulsifier), or go with synthetics such as silicone. I am open to suggestions :thumbsup:

I would think that there shouldn't be any effects from the use of THC on sensitive parts of the body, but I haven't heard of anyone trying this beforehand so if anybody has any insight it would be greatly appreciated.

I am hoping the effect will be even more pronounced than the topical application of the current lotions since it is on an area that has much more blood flow and the epidermis is thinner, (much less than the .07 inches thick that it is found on the arms and legs).

So what do you guys think?

As a pharmacy technician and a pharmacist-to-be, I think we should get together and compound this. You'd need a lipophilic base to compound with as THC is fat-soluable, I think what they use to make suppositories would be useful. (any pharmacists out there might scold me, i don't compound suppositories).

Sex lube is mostly glycerin, which is, if i am not mistaken, a sugar-based substance. On that note, back in the 60's I think one would use vegitable shortening as an anal-sex lube.... yeah?

It could be so easy to put THC into something which is undetectible. You know tootsie rolls were created by a pharmacist who mixed chocolate (i think?) in a suppository mold.

What you would want to do is get some hashish, keif, or cannabis bud. You would want to grind it up very finely (problem solved if you have kief), then get some grain alcohol or everclear. the higher the proof, the better. Mix a small amount with the kief and swirl it around in a beaker or graduated cylinder. The THC will form a solution with the ethanol in the alcohol. Filter the raw substance through a cheese cloth (to remove the nonpsychoactive parts such as kief pollen, bud residue, impurities etc) Store the solution in a dark place and let the alcohol evaporate. You will be left with (almost-pure) THC crystals, which you can compound into a lipophilic base (the ointment of your choice). Depending on how sophisticated of a method you use, you can make this as pure and as concentrated as you'd like!

Because the product is more pure than cannabis buds/leaves, It's better to use kief or hashish, I'd prefer kief because it dissolves in the alcohol easier as opposed to hashish.

Actually I already start with some extremely high grade THC oil for making the lotions. This is a very clean extract (use of low boiling point solvents trapped under extreme pressure to maintain it in liquid form for extended periods of time as opposed to blow through systems that others use with butane and PVC or the like).

Basically the quality is excellent, but it doesn't stop there, after extraction the oil goes through chemical processes to convert nonpsychoactive cannabinoids to their more psychoactive counterparts. Then further conversions create VERY potent semi-biosynthetic cannabidiol's not entirely dissimilar from what naturally occurs in the plant (only much stronger).

Basically the finished oil is usually at least 8 times the potency of basic extracts (in the case of commercial extractions much more) :thumbsup:

Maybe we should talk more, what do you think the best delivery system would be?
