I have about a 1/2 ounce of stems, shake and leaves. I've been saving it for a rainy day but I need to know if this is enough and how much will this serve? I pretty much know the recipe from other threads, but is there any difference using mostly stem rather than buds? thnx to all who can help :detective1:

The difference it that you'll need more stems, lots more.i would recommend throwing it in a blender to break it up a bit.remember to use REAL butter/milk, no hydrogenated fat bullshit.

I'm now seriously considering putting it in vodka. I have a 1.75 liter bottle with about a 1/4 left. Do I need more vodka or will this do? I imagine this would just increase the potency having less vodka, right?

I'd get a food processor and just say fuck it! Blend it all together and just let it wait and sit.

the less vodka the higher the potentcy but then its not an eact art. when i did it i used a litre and about a years worth of stems. so i dont know what that was in weight.

what ever you can get. chuck it all it. blending would be a sweet idea. that way it will absorb quicker.

leave it to frement for aslong as you can.

when i did mine i literally kept it for 14 months just adding stems when i had them.

so i would say a month or two at least

What you can do is make a tincture. Use as many stems and leaves as you can and a full bottle of Vodka. Mix it up and let it soak for a month or two. Then you want to strain it through a coffee filter to remove all the pulp. The vodka should be quite green. Let is sit in an open tub that will hold it all. Let the alcohol evaporate out of the mixture and you will be left with a greenish mixture of water and THC. Put a couple of drops under your tongue to test the strength. This can be done with strong buds for a real kick in the ass.:silly:

If you are going to put it in vodka, then you are making Green Dragon. You should check out the Definitive Green Dragon thread in the recipes forum --- that recipe works really well and has some good tips.

Just soaking the stuff in enough vodka to barely cover it will work, but it takes a few weeks or months, and it might not be as strong as it could be. If you want it to be stronger, heat the stems, shake, leaves, buds, etc. in the oven first at 200F for 20 minutes. If you want to make it faster than a few weeks or months, heat the vodka and material in a hot water bath according to the Definitive Green Dragon thread recipe.

It's hard to say how much it would serve without knowing exactly what you are starting with. I've always made it with bud, but I know that people do it with stems, shake, etc.

I usually try to get an idea of how many times I could get high if I smoked what I have, and then figure the same number of doses of green dragon would come out of it. So if I start with a nice 1/8th of bud that I think could get me high 20 - 30 times, I figure 20 - 30 doses of green dragon would come out of it. You are not starting with a nice 1/8th of bud, so you will have to be the judge of that.

Another thing to be aware of is if you are not starting with strong herb, you don't want to use so much alcohol that you would get drunk before you ever got high. For example, if you thought you could get high maybe 4 times off that starting material, you would not want to soak it in 32 oz of vodka, becasue you would have to drink 8 oz of vodka to get one dose --- nighty-night!
