    pH Issue

I have this plant with Scotts soil and perlite 30%.

I'm testing my runoff water and the pH is around 6.0 so i figured i'll raise my pH water to 8.0 and then i'll have my pH adjusted but the runoff is still 6.0 range. Are there any other solutions besides using a new soil? Or should I raise the water pH to like 9.0? Right now i'm running out of options. I'm raising the pH with this 8.2 fishtank up thing. and for each scoop of that stuff will boost the pH of 10 gallons to 8.2ish

Don't go all the way up to 9. Just keep trying to adjust it by watering with pH 8, and check your runoff regularly.

HAve you flushed your plant completely yet? It may not be the soil itself, but rather a buildup of fertilizer salts that is giving you problems, and it's very easy to fix that!

Take a look at this thread:

    http://boards.cannabis.com/hydroponi...r-high-ph.html

There's a pretty good dicussion about pH and you might gain some insight into what you are trying to accomplish.

Note in particular Rhizome's comments about fish tank pH adjuster. That post is near the end of the thread.

    Good luck!
