In a nutshell, Flushing is when you add a lot of water to your plant(really plant system i guess?) to either adjust PH or nute problems. Just like flushing the john.

Curing is a way to preserve your bud, and it also helps with flavor. Like letting wine age (if its the type of wine that needs to be aged i guess)

Well said. I should add that flushing usually takes twice the water as what the pot can hold..

E.g. 1 gallon pot will take 2 gallons of water to flush etc. etc.
