Not to sound like an old fart (I'm only 30), but you don't mention in your list putting money away.

You're going to be pissed at yourself if you have no money set aside and 10 or 15 years. Trust me.

Invest as much as you can in a 401k or retirement account. If you socked away $1000, and played with $500 a month, you'd have fun and be really happy down the road. Also consider putting some of the money in a CD or other investment package -- in a few years you'll be able to put a down payment on a house.
