I also think that just possessing weed can help a-motivational syndrome. My idea is that just by possessing it, you can get keep saying, "Oh, if I do this, I can smoke." or "I'll smoke when I get this done..." even if its just getting to a certain part in a video game, ya know? When I have weed, even if I'm not high, I feel life is more endurable because I know that, should the stress become to great, I can just take a couple hits and relax.
I feel the exact same way - just knowing that its there in case I need it is a huge stress reliever for me and helps me get through difficult days, studying, etc. I recently took almost a month break from smoking and it was not that difficult for me b/c I still had some in my possession. On the other hand, I am running low I get really stressed if I go a week w/out knowing if my source will come through. I smoke 2-3 times a week and I can't imagine being stoned ALL the time...sometimes i can be relaxed just knowing its there if i need it
